It may be one pear tree, but rumor has it that it has produced up to 800 pounds in past years.  We are looking for volunteers to glean pears and see if we can come close.  Boxes would be very appreciated - we can always use more.  You are welcome to bring a ladder or stepstool to help.  Urban Abundance will provide pole pickers, extension poles, and buckets.  Fruit will be donated to a local food bank, but all volunteers are welcome to take some home.  There is parking for a couple cars in front of the house, otherwise space if available a little farther up or down the street.  The homeowner reports that the dog in the fenced yard puts on a good show with barking, but is not mean (the dog will be in the house once we all arrive).  The pear tree is in the front yard.  Be sure to bring your own container to take home fruit, water, and sunscreen.
